Aamir Khan(born Aamir Hussain Khan; March 14, 1965) is an Indian film actor, producer, director, screenwriter, occasional singer, and the founder-owner of Aamir Khan Productions.

Appearing as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Khan’s career started eleven years later with the film, Holi (1984). He received his first commercial success with his cousin Mansoor Khan’s film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) and won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance in the film. After eight previous nominations during the 1980s and 1990s, Khan received his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in Raja Hindustani (1996), his biggest commercial success so far.

He later earned his second Best Actor award at the Filmfare ceremony as well as numerous other awards for his role in the 2001 Academy Award nominated Lagaan. Taking a four year break from acting, Khan made his comeback with Ketan Mehta’s The Rising (2005). In 2007, he made his directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par, for which he received a Filmfare Best Director Award. Being a part of several commercially successful movies and delivering highly acclaimed performances, he has established himself as one of the leading actors of Hindi cinema.

The film is the final part of Varma’s trilogy on the underworld, and deals with real-life incidents that happened in the late ‘90s.

It traces the life of gangster Chhota Rajan after he engages in a bitter war with Dawood Ibrahim.

As Rajan was being gunned down by Dawood’s sharp shooters in Bangkok, he was whisked away to safety by an Indian intelligence agency. The agency, deliberately saved Rajan and his gang, as they need a powerful gang to oppose Dawood’s men. The film shows the war between the gangs of Rajan and Dawood, and how they try to emerge as the underworld kingpin.

The character similar to Rajan was played by Vivek Oberoi in Company, while in Contract, it will be played by Upendra Limaye.

Contract also exposes the tie-up between the underworld and terrorist organisations.

Mallika Sherawat, born October 24, 1981 as Reema Lamba in Karnal, Haryana, India) is a popular Indian actress and model. Known for her public openness, she is frequently featured in the Indian media as a sex symbol.

Personal life

Sherawat’s birth name is Reema Lamba; she says that adopted the screen name of “Mallika”, meaning “empress” to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema. “Sherawat” is her mother’s maiden name. She has stated that she uses her mother’s maiden name because of all the support her mother has provided for her. She has also a degree in Indian philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University.

Career

Mallika’s onscreen debut was in Lak Tunoo, a music video by Surjit Bindrakhia. She attracted wide notice with her appearance in the 2003 movie Khwahish. In 2004, she starred in Murder, a film inspired by Hollywood’s Unfaithful. She received a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony for her performance in Murder. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.

Since then, Sherawat has been known for her courage to express her opinions in public, as well as because of the reaction to some of her statements

She also made news when she won a small role in a Jackie Chan movie, The Myth; she made a widely publicized appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote The Myth.

However, her performance in the 2006 film Pyaar Ke Side Effects co-starring Rahul Bose won her praise from around the industry, and the film also garnered decent collections at the box office becoming a moderate success.

She is now beginning to work in the Kollywood (Tamil) film industry as well after her item number in a Kannada film. Her debut was Dasavathaaram, starring Kamal Haasan, Asin, and Jayapradha, in which she plays one of the lead antagonists.

Her first 2007 release was Himesh Reshammiya’s Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story, where she played a “vampish role”. Mallika herself has protested, saying that it is a negative role but not a vamp role. With Aap Ka Suroor she has become the most expensive “Item Girl”, as she charged Rs. 1.5 crore for her Item number in the movie. Aap Ka Suroor did well at the box office. Her last release of 2007 was Welcome which also did well at the box office receiving blockbuster status.

Sherawat has been voted as one of Asia’s 100 most beautiful people by the Hong Kong based fashion and beauty magazine, Cover.

Celina Jaitley or Jaitly is a Indian / Bollywood Actress. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan on November 24th 1981. She was crowned Miss India in 2001. She has appeared in several movies and music videos (including the Bombay Vikings’ Zara Nazron Se Kehdo video). Born in Hong Kong on July 16, 1984, One of eight siblings, Kaif was born to an Indian Kashmiri Father and British mother, was brought up in Hawaii, and started modelling at the age of 14, when she was approached for a jewellery campaign. After that she continued modeling in London.

Professional life

At the age of 14, Kaif started modeling for a jewelry campaign in London, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom (2003).

She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her because of her linguistic shortcomings, such as her inability to speak Hindi without a heavy accent.
